Self-Aware Leadership
Reflecting on my leadership path, I can see how my academics, co-curricular activities, and professional job all played a part in defining my approach to leadership. One example is my participation in a student group during my college education.

As the previous event coordinator of S.C.R.E.A.M, students creating rides, entertainment attractions & memories, I led a team of students from all backgrounds and with differing degrees of expertise. I immediately realized that excellent communication was essential for keeping everyone on the same page and working toward the same goals. To guarantee that we were working efficiently, I also had to learn how to distribute duties and responsibilities to team members based on their talents and interests.

Throughout my professional career, I've also had the chance to manage teams on various initiatives. One title, in particular, stands out for me, in which I was responsible for coordinating the floor plan of a Wine Dinner at Ruth Chris's Steakhouse. I collaborated with the servers and their assistants to decipher the best action plan regarding the flow of traffic and the server's section distribution. I had to use my communication and interpersonal abilities to establish trust and rapport with team members and keep everyone on the same page throughout the event.
My courses at SDSU have also provided me with background knowledge based on leadership skills which I've incorporated into my approach to effective management styles. For example, I've learned about the significance of emotional intelligence and how it can be utilized to help people.
Specifically, my leadership course with Professor Ponting taught me the value of emotional intelligence, how to utilize it to develop great connections with team members, and the advantages of employing a servant leadership strategy.

Combining academics, co-curricular activities, and professional job events has created my distinct personal leadership path. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow as a leader, and I look forward to continuing to do so.
Where do I fit?
As you may know, the hospitality sector is about making guests feel welcome and having a good time. This necessitates being nice, talkative, and approachability, all of which come easily to me. My outgoing attitude allows me to interact with visitors on a personal level and make them feel at ease and home during their stay.

Furthermore, my dynamic and optimistic temperament contributes to the office's vibrant and upbeat culture. This may and has previously spread to visitors and coworkers, making everyone feel more comfortable and cheerful.

Overall, I feel that my colorful and outgoing attitude is an excellent fit for the hospitality sector, and I am eager to contribute my unique talents and abilities to all positions in the future.
